How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your NRI Marriage Bureau account and all associated data at any time. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered.
Option 1: Delete from the App
- Open the NRI Marriage Bureau app and log in to your account
- Go to Profile tab at the bottom
- Tap Settings
- Scroll down to Account Actions
- Tap Delete Account
- Type DELETE to confirm
- Tap the Delete My Account button
Option 2: Request via Email
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address registered with your account. We will process your request within 72 hours.
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Profile information (name, date of birth, bio, preferences)
- Photos and media uploads
- Chat messages and conversation history
- Matches, interests, and shortlisted profiles
- Search history and saved filters
- Notification preferences
Data Retention
After account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. During this period, your profile will not be visible to other users. Certain data may be retained as required by law, such as transaction records for tax and legal compliance purposes, for a period of up to 180 days.
