Child Safety Standards

1. Our service is for adults only

Registration on NRI Marriage Bureau is restricted to people aged 18 and over. Every profile states a date of birth, and our matchmaking team reviews profiles before they are shared. Accounts found to belong to a minor are removed, and any profile that misrepresents age is removed when discovered.

2. What is prohibited

The following are prohibited on our website, our mobile applications and in any communication through our service:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, drawings or generated content
• Sexualising a minor, or describing a minor in a sexual manner
• Grooming, soliciting or attempting to contact a minor for sexual purposes
• Creating a profile for, or on behalf of, a person under 18
• Trafficking, arranging or facilitating the marriage of a minor
• Sharing, linking to or advertising any of the above, on or off our service

3. How to report a concern

You do not need an account to report, and you do not need proof. If something worries you, tell us and we will look into it.

• In the app or on the website: open the profile or conversation, then use Report or Block. Reports reach our safety team directly.

Please include the profile ID (for example NMB123456) or a screenshot if you have one. Do not forward or re-share any suspected child sexual abuse material — describe it instead, and report it to the authorities as well.

4. How we respond

• Reports involving a child are treated as urgent and reviewed by a member of our team, not by an automated system alone
• We suspend the account while we review, so the person cannot continue contacting members
• Confirmed violations result in permanent removal of the account and all of its content
• We preserve the relevant records and report to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where applicable, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection and Indian law enforcement
• We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement investigating child exploitation

5. Legal compliance

We comply with child safety laws in the places we operate, including Canadian law, Indian law (among them the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act), and United States reporting obligations to NCMEC. Where laws differ, we apply the stricter standard.

6. If a child is in immediate danger

Contact your local emergency services first. In Canada and the United States, call 911. In India, call 1098 (Childline) or 112. You can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. Please tell us as well so we can remove the account.
